Confessions. . . .

So i have a confession to make. . . . i started reading twilight. . . and i love it. i had criticized everyone i knew that was reading because i tought it was a silly concept, vampires and all y'know? but its actually really good. i saw the movie and really enjoyed that as well, and that is what made me want to read the books. for those of you who know me you all know i H A T E to read!!! but i started the first book this past friday night . . . and. . . well. . . i have read close to 440 pages. . . I KNOW!!! I KNOW!!! crazy for me to do such a thing but i just got so wrapped up in the book. so my appologies go out to those of you who i said you were crazy for reading the books. lol.

Basketball dog

happy halloween!!! or at least that's what we were all saying a couple of days ago. well reina is too big to wear doggy costumes so i went and bought her a human costume. . . she went as a basketball player. isnt she the cutest basketball player you have ever seen??? i think so. she is sporting a red white and blue jersy and wearing a pretty matching bow around her neck. she hit nothing but net on most of her shots. lol. well she would have im sure if she would have attempted any shots. well we didnt get to go trick or treating because we could only take the cone off of her head long enough to put the costume on and take some pictures. and just look at her cute little behind. that shot was worth everything. its so cute how her tail sticks out of her shorts . i just love her and she is such a good sport with what i put her through. we didnt keep her in her costume for long because i wanted to get her cone back on. she's only got a week left with it on now and her eye is doing great.

Post surgery for reina. . .

this was the day reina had her surgery. we brought her home and she wandered around the yard for a bit and then layed down to rest for a bit.

the poor little girl, she had to come home sporting a brand new "BONNETT" also known as a cone. she hated it and it took her forever to get use to, but it is a must have so that she doesnt pull out those loosely stitched stitches.

and look at how big it was, you cant even see the tip of her nose. she couldnt get to her water in her dish or her food to eat it. so my mom made and executive decision and cut it down a bit. she is now able to drink and eat just fine but still cant get to her eye

look at my dad holding her hand. you cant tell he loves her at all. he says he doesnt really care for animals too much but i know deep down inside he would be sad with out reina. lol. he loves her so much. he talks to her and plays with her and just adores her, but shhhh you didnt hear that from me.

and then it was night time. she likes to sleep with her head on the pillow. i swear she doesnt know she is a dog. and she is such a bed hog too. but she was so comfortable and slept most of the night through just fine. she looked so peaceful. she has to leave the "bonnett" on until monday november 10th. and then she goes in to get the stiches removed and the bonnet taken off. we have made it through a week and only got one more to go. i think she can do it. im so proud of her for putting up with it this long.

FIREPIT FUN!!!

okay so a couple of weeks ago i bought a firepit. for anyone thinking about doing this i would say DO IT!!! i love mine. its so relaxing and i have roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over it a couple different times now. there is a funny story behind this tho, and that is: i ripped out a couple sets of wood shelving units out of my garage a while back but i left all the nails in. well when i was sawing them up my friend amanda (who is the one in the pic besides me) kept tellin me i was gonna step on a nail. i didnt believe her and i kept tellin her i knew what i was doing. well then came that inevitable time when i did step on a nail. o my holy hell did it hurt. but i kept my cool and acted like nothin happened, cuz i didnt want her to know what had happened because then that would mean she was correct. but she saw right through me and asked me if i had stepped on a nail. and of course i denied it at first and then i figured i needed to take my shoe off and look at the battle wound and the only way for me to do that with out being suspected was to tell her the truth . so i did. it wasnt too bad so after my mom came over to look at it, cuz she is a nurse, we went back to sittin around the fire and enjoying ourselves. so ya thats the funny story about the firepit.

Its about darn time. . . But reina has to have surgery :-(

okay so its been forever since i have last updated everyone on my life. ha ha ha. a lot has happened since last time i posted anything. The major issue happened about 2 weeks ago when i noticed a small lump on my dog's eyelid. i just thought it was a stye and so did my mom, who is a nurse. so we started to put ointment on it that we had got from the vet from a previous visit. well after about a week and no improvement, my mom decided to take her into the vet. the verdict: she needs a Meibomian Gland Mass Removal surgery. the meibomian gland in the eye is what keeps thier eyes from drying out i guess, but there is a mas/tumor that is growing on it. 99.999% of them are not cancerous but im still nervous. she also has a little lump along her right side by her ribs. we are going to have that removed as well just to be safe, even though they say that one is also probably not cancerous. but a mom can NEVER be too cautious. so now my little girl has to have surgery on Monday October 27th. this will be her 4th total surgery that she has had to undergo in her short little life so far. by the end of this surgery she might as well be considered a 6,000 dollar dog even though i got her for free. lol. but the bright side to this whole thing is that i have health insurance on my dog and it is going to pay for 800 out of the 900 dollars that this surgery will cost. i am relly nervous, and i dont know what i will do if something happens. wow im gonna be such a wreck come monday morning, but one of my best friends is driving down from blackfoot to be with me. she is such a sweet heart and i would do anything for her as she would for me. :-) anyways, school is going okay i guess, i still hate it but im still in it and going strong. and besides school, life is okay. i finally got rid of this guy that i have been liking for the past 2-3 years. Chris who is in the navy and lives in washing, is a guy that i have known for quite some time, but its just been over the past couple of years that he has been in and out of the picture. So i finally couldnt take it any longer and told him that we're just friends and thats that. i feel so much more relieved since this has happened. its like a weight has been lifted and i can finally not be stressed any more. okay moving on. . . (no pun intended but that was funny). . . i have yet another problem with my car. i now have a time limit from when i unlock it to when i start it or else the alarm goes off. LOL. i guess it doesnt recognize that a door has been opened and so it relocks itself with in 30 seconds and if it has done that before i start it then when i go to turn the key the alarm sounds. this is like the 4th time this has happened on my car so its nothin im not already use to. . . EXTREME EMBARASSMENT. the last thing that has occured since when i posted last is that i bought a fire pit. i have always wanted one and now i have it. . . but it has caused me some trauma due to stepping on a nail in some of the wood that i was chopping up to burn in the fire pit. ha ha ha. but my foot is starting to feel better and i still love the pit. i will post photos of it soon so stay tuned to "these are the days of MY life" ha ha ha. until next time . . .

Me = Energizer Bunny

okay so im in my third week of school and i feel like i have been on one really long roller coaster. i never stop going during the week and when the weekend hits i am so tired i just sleep all weekend long. i feel like the energizer bunny only i need some new batteries. ha ha ha. Tuesdays are my LOOOOOONG days. i go to work i go to school and then i go to hip hop. Speaking of Hip hop, its going really well. i have only been to it twice so far but im picking it up really fast and its a really good work out. Im soar all over, but its so much fun so its all worth it. okay back to the subject of school. . . Spanish is gonna be a breeze i think, and so is my Drugs in Society class, but its my two online classes that im worried about just a bit. Im such a procrastinator and i have only done like 1 assignment for both of them so far. So if anyone is ever bored and needs to yell at someone. . . feel free to call me and hound me about doing my homework, because i need all the hounding i can get. And since i have been so busy lately with school work and dance, i feel like i am the WORST mother in the world to my dog. She has stayed at my mom's house more than mine lately and we havent been able to go on walks. i am so tired by the time school and dance and work is all done at the end of the day, that i just go home and crash. i feel terrible but i hope she understands and forgives me. i need to really sit down and plan a schedule to stick by so that i can balance my time better to allow me to spend more time with my baby. any suggestions are great, but ya thats the latest update on my life.

School's Back in Session :-(

so i started school again yesterday. . . SUCKY!!! Well actually i dont think it will be as bad as i thought it was gonna be. No i still dont like school, but i have begun to accept the fact that it is something that i have to do and i just have to deal with that. Im taking Spanish 102, a drugs in society class, and two online Medical terminology classes. im most worried about the online classes for the simple fact that i am a procrastinator. but hopefully all will go well, and next tuesday (the 2nd of september) i start my Hip Hop class. im so freakin excited, but nervous at the same time. Ya see, i am not really happy with the way i look right now and so i dont know how i will do having to watch myself "Jiggle" in the mirrors, but i am just going to have to get over that cuz i love to dance and i really wanna do this. My sister has taken hip hop for like 1 or 2 years and she has really toned up, so i think this class might even help me to loose weight and shape my body to a closer image of what i someday want to look like. well wish me luck i hope i survive.

The Good Times

so this past weekend was the last weekend before school started back up again. . . so guess what i did. . . yep you guess right. . . GOT DRUNK!!! We played beer pong on the nifty Beer Pong Table that Less and Treavor made, and we also played Drunken Jenga and Pirates of the Carribean board game. We had so much fun just enjoying the relaxing fun times and hanging out. It was deffinately a much needed hang out session. I really enjoy hanging out with these guys cuz i feel like for once in my life i fit in kinda. I dont

have to feel like the third wheel, or be expected to find someone to take home from the bars. so its nice to finally know people who are mature, but yet still like to relax and kick back and have some good ol' times.

It literally to me FOOOREEVERRR to find this video. I saw it on ESPN on like wed 16th or thurs 17th of July and i started looking for it then. I found it a week later. . . FINALLY!!! I even had my friend Jennie from work searching for it, ha ha ha. but here it is, and I just love it! it makes me wanna get up and break it down!!!

BASEBALL FAN FOREVER!!!

Last night i went to go see my very first LIVE Baseball game. It was of the Idaho Falls Chuckars. Thanks to my friend Treavor having some free tickets to get rid of i was able to go and watch them hit some balls and make some AMAZING plays. The First photo is of my first view of the field as i got to the top of the bleachers. . . WOW!!! That's literally all i could say or think at the time that i first layed my eyes upon the field. I was able to get my picture taken with Charlie, the Chuckars' mascott. He is one funny bird. He really got into all of the action that went on within the game. When the Chuckars took the field for the first time i got goosebumps. I know i must sound like a retard, but it was so neat to actually be there in person watching this wonderful sport. Aboud every 2 innings they would have some sort of game that people from the crowd would participate in for a chance to win different prizes. Towards the end of the game they played a game of horse shoes. . . only this game of horse shoes consisted of a plunger nailed to a board and toilet seats. It was so funny, and it looked like a lot of fun too. Unfortuately, toilet seats dont fly too well so no one got a horse shoe. ha ha ha. During the 7th inning stretch, the whole crowd (including me) stood up and sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". It was really neat since i had never done that before. This was deffinately an experience i will NEVER forget. I am Hooked now, and that means i will have to go to more and more games in the VERY NEAR future.

A Water Adventure

Last Thursday i took reina on a walk by the portneuf river. its nothin too grand, but its exciting enough for the two of us. we went with some friends of mine: Linda (from work), her hubby, her daughter Beth, and Beth's hubby Alex (both of which are friends of mine.) we all had so much fun. they were probably having fun because of how goofy i was being about reina getting into the river. But, hey, what is a mom to do when her baby starts to have fun adventures.

This was such a fun day. i was so excited that she got into the river. every dog needs to let loose and have some fun out in the great outdoors. she has webbed feet, why not put them to use. he he he. we are gonna go again soon. she likes getting out and walking outside.

Movie "EduMAcating"

okay so some of you know that i recently signed up for NETFLIX. well. . . I LOVE IT!!! it is the best thing out there for movie renting. and if you know me you know that i need to be more educated in the movie area. the movie that came in the mail today was titled "How She Move". it is a hip-hop dance movie and it was really Really REALLY good. but you will all be glad to know that i watched it and dropped it in the mailbox already, there for that means i am now awaiting the arival of my third movie. . . PRETTY WOMAN. yes thats right, i have never seen that movie, and once i do the girls at work can stop hounding me about it. he he he. j/k its funny and i dont mind the hounding at all. well i will let ya all know how that goes as soon as i see it.

What is one to do???

Okay so what do you do when most of your friends are still in the "fling" staged of their life? I dont want a different guy every week, i am ready to find that special someone who give me butterflies. :-) but most of my friends just wanna go out to the bars and find guys to hook up with every weekend. i dont think im gonna meet "Prince Charming" in a bar. i dont know how to say all of this nicely and make it clear with out hurting someone's feelings. i like to have a good time, and yes i do let loose every now and then, but usually its not in a bar cuz then i have to leave my car all by itself while i catch a ride home. . . and i have ISSUES with doing that. im a bit attached to the car. he he he. so what happens when you find yourself at a little bit more mature stage in life than all of the friends around you??? i dont know what to do and im kinda struggling cuz i love all my girls dearly, but i just dont wanna do the whole immature boy games, and i have never been one who does those. advice would be helpful if you can think of any. thanks

an eventful weekend. . .

well this past weekend was pretty fun, for me anyways. i finally signed up for netflix and am looking forward to receiving my first movie TOMORROW!!! :-) i really needed to get educated in the movie area and i think this will be just the trick. also i went shopping with my friend lindsay down to idaho falls. i found THE CUTEST shoes and got some new shirts and stuff. okay okay. . . by "stuff" i mean i went on an UNDERWEAR EXTRAVEGANZA. he he he. Yes im a bit overly excited about it but it was fun. I also was able to find a lasar pointer that i plan to use with the dog to get her motivated on walks. ha ha ha. we have already played with it in the hous and she loves chasing it. so yes it was a great weekend. :-) but unfortunately it goes into a week that is going to be really hard. im going to start going to the gym 4-5 times a week. i always feel better when i go, but its getting it worked into the routine that the hard part. but i am optimistic that it should go pretty well. this is something that i HAVE to do . . . so wish me luck im gonna try to start tonight, no let me rephrase that. . . I WILL START TONIGHT!

My Idol!!!

my sister dances with dance factory, and her recital was on tuesday june 3rd. this was the first performance that i was able to make it too. they did two dances. she is one in silver next to the girl in red farthest to the right. its probably kind of hard to spot her but her whole group just looks so amazing. i get goosebumps just watching this video. she makes me so proud, and she probably doesnt know how much i look up to her. she is quite the mature young lady, and i love her with all of my hart. if i could just be half as good as her when i start hip hop this fall i will be satisfied. ha ha ha.

Happy Birthday Reina!!!

Today was Reina's 5th Birthday!!!! she's getting so big. time flies by so fast. I cant believe that she has been in my life for 5 years now. WOW. But i can deffinately say those have been the best five years of my life so far. hopefully there will be more to come. Well since she couldnt have her own cake i gave her some vanilla ice cream on a spoon, but only a couple spoon fulls because we are dieting. he he he.

Okay, Okay. . . So i spoil her just a bit. But she is an only child, so isnt that the rule when it comes to only children? he he he. here are all of her presents that she got for her birthday: a baseball, hammer, rope, pink basketball, football, stuffed baseball on a rope, and rawhide bones. all of the toys were mainly squeaky toys cuz she loves to make them squeak. she is so funny. And she couldnt wait to start chowin down on some of her bones.

Christmas of 2007

Reina couldn't wait to get to her bone. she didn't even give us time to take the plastic wrapper off. She was so cute.

Mysister and i received the same card, each from the other parents. mady got hers from mom i think and i got mine from dad. it was so funny. so according to our cards it looks like her and i made it on santa's naughty but nice list.

my mom got her VHS to DVD recorder that she has wanted for a while now. i love the look on her face as she is oppening this gift. its priceless.

Mysister and i got my dad an ipod because he was the only one in the family who didnt have one. . . well he does now! he will be so hip he wont know what to do. he he he.

everyone was so happy. we all had a lot of fun on this day.

The "Shopping" face

this picture was taken a couple of months ago. isn't she the cutest girl. i just love her. well the story behind the "shopping face" is that i use to take her with me to idaho falls to petco to go shopping before we got one here. and i would always ask her if she wanted to go shopping before we would go. so she learned the verb shopping very early. and still to this day when i say, "reina, do you want to go shopping?" she tilts her head and raises her eyebrows and looks at me as if to say, "well dummy, of course i want to go shopping!" it is the cutest thing. and thats what i had done in this picture, was ask her that question.
